Hi! My name is Alex!
Known as sir Alex among family, for differentiation purposes, and Mr Alex when it comes to our businesses.
I am known for not being able to sit still, though that doesn’t equal physical energy or athleticism. My inability to sit still comes out more in the need to have something to figure out or a new adventure to experience. This becomes clear looking at employment history and hobbies.
I’ve done all kinds of things, some I’ve been paid for, others not so much. The important things you need to know are that I am passionate about my faith and serving in whatever capacity I can, my family, and helping people get things done and achieve their maximum potential.
Talking for hours is easy regarding any one of my passions and the various sub categories within any one of them. That’s the purpose of a blog though isn’t it?
Hi! My name is Alex!
Known as Allie among family, for differentiation purposes, and Mrs Alex when it comes to our businesses.
Between the two of us I am the athlete. I keep trying to convince Alex that working out is fun, but I’m not having success yet. My favorite season is winter because sweater weather, an excuse to stay inside, read a book, and drink tea, and most of all CHRISTMAS. Hallmark movies are my jam and giving and receiving gifts is my favorite!
I have my ECE 2 and I’m working my way through a Holistic Nutrition course. I love kids and being a positive godly influence in their lives. Over the years I’ve also developed a passion for health and wellness, while making sure it encompasses our whole being. Too often only one thing gets the focus, diet, exercise, whatever the case is, but it’s all equally important, emotional, spiritual, all of it. More on that in future blog posts!
Together we are Alex Squared!
We met in 2019, got married in 2020, and together we go on adventures and run a handful of small ventures! There’s a lot of potential blog posts that can come from that sentence, so stay tuned!
The two of us share some similarities. Such as our name, a drive to help people stemming from our wiring and our faith, and Mennonite stereotypes (affinity for a good deal and a love of food).
We’ve also got some differences. For example, Mr Alex will run headlong into a new idea, whereas Mrs Alex will think it through and see the things that should be considered. Or Mrs Alex will take the time to make sure every detail is taken care of in a project and the result is perfection, whereas Mr Alex will focus on the functionality and once that’s in place the aesthetics are a bonus. These differences result in a team that has some wonderful checks and balances!
We’ll leave it at that for now. We’re always learning and growing and some of that we want to share as it might help someone else out there! Buckle up! It’s going to be a wild ride!
